At UnitedHealth Group IT, we are seeking a Senior Quality Services Black Belt to fill a key role in our Continuous Improvement - Quality department. This would be a rewarding opportunity for the right candidate to harness her/his Six Sigma skills, focus on driving continuous improvement opportunities, and execute projects delivering long term improvements in a dynamically changing environment. This position involves exposure to all areas and levels within the organization. - Identifying root causes for a problems in our organization
- Developing and driving remediation plans aimed at solving these problems
- Leading cross functional project teams aimed at developing actionable recommendations to resolving the root cause(s) of quality failures.
- Developing approaches to ensure Data Driven Decisions are made
- Driving Change within the organization
- Building a Culture of Quality
- Presenting project analysis and findings to senior leadership to obtain the approval, funding and other requirements to resolve the issue.
The ideal candidate's experience and background will include: - 6 to 8 years of progressively increasing responsibilities in business process development, industrial engineering and continuous improvement experience.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification is desired but not required.
- Strong project management skills.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Project, Power Point, Excel and Mini Tab
- 4-year business or technical degree
