Purpose of Role: - The Business Process Consultant is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, managing, and monitoring the business assessments and process improvement initiatives identified by the Quality team.
- The role provides major input to the development of the annual assessment plan and uses assessment results to evaulate the organization's risk areas to identify and drive process improvement opportunities.
- This position contributes to the departmental objectives of maintaining operational conformance to established quality standards, regulatory & contractual requirements, streamlining of business processes, and using Continuous Quality Improvement methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
- This position involves the use of Personal Health Information (PHI).
Role Components: - Supports the identification and evaluation of the organization's risk areas to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Leads team in conducting meetings, interviews, reviewing documents, developing and administering surveys, composing reports and project plans, completing Six Sigma projects and coaching functional areas to meet Business Process Quality standards.
- Analyzes performance of Business Process Quality processes and procedures, including creating and modifying the schedule, holding IRR sessions, training of staff, completing inspections and monitoring metrics.
- Provdes input to the Quality Dashboard and other written reports and oral presentations to management and the Executive Leadership Tteam (ELT) / Quality Oversight Committee as needed.
- Monitors and communicates the results of process improvement projects/Six Sigma initiatives to management and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT)/Quality oversight committee as needed.
- Develops and maintains productive client, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meeting.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- Minimum of three years experience in process improvement/quality management/project management leadership
- Black Belt experience preferred; previous experience leading or supporting Six Sigma projects required
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Must demonstrate effective situation leadership, quick and continuous learning style, and high impact project/program management skills
- Requires excellent oral, written, strong presentation skills and interpersonal communication skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, demonstrating fluency with Microsoft Office tools
- Performs other duties at assigned
Competencies and Best Practices for High Performers: - Working knowledge of project management, continuous quality improvement, or internal auditing practices and processes
- Excellent team management skills including motivating, mentoring, coaching, resource management, performance evaluation and management
- Experience as project leader of remote teams preferred
- Strong problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to promote trust and collaboration
- Self-motivated, organized and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and projects to successful completion
- Competence using desktop computer, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets and Intra-Internet
- Data analysis skills - interpretation, analysis and evaluation of reports, quality charts and tools
