Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects across various functional areas.  Provides subject matter expertise in areas including project management, strategic planning, risk identification, business analytics, resource allocation, facilitation, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background.  Makes presentations to management on project updates, project cycle, and expected results.  Ensures projects are completed on time and in scope.  May manage vendor and service providers to define project scope and performance expectations.  Incumbents are part of a strategic enterprise-wide program management office (PMO).

  • May manage individuals and/or a small project team

  • Manage both tactical and strategic priorities in order to deliver desired outcome.

  • Creativity with resources, often managing and delivering in a matrixed organization

  • Drive project/program timelines and deliverables

 
Job Scope
  • Sets direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own team.

  • Align resources to drive outcome.  Where resource gap exists, incumbent owns output at task level.

  • Adapts plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.

  • Influences or provides input to forecasting and planning activities.

  • Product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact multiple groups of employees and/or customers (internal or external).  Engages multiple stakeholders in working through interdependencies.

  • Undergraduate degree

  • Advanced degree in business, healthcare or related field a plus

  • Minimum five years experience in driving complex projects in a matrixed organization, business analytics, or management consulting

  • Health Plan experience

  • Experience in management consulting a plus

  • Outstanding written, verbal, project management and analytical skills

  • Expertise in PowerPoint and Excel a must

  • Previous experience providing supervision to direct reports and other project personnel

  • Ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of employees, including senior management
