The responsibility of the Sr. Project Manager II is to plan and manage to closure multiple medium to large projects for both internal (UnitedHealth) and external (clients of UnitedHealth / Ingenix) customers.  Qualified candidates should have several years experience demonstrating the following responsibilities:
  • Leading multiple complex, technical projects to meet customer scope, schedule, and quality commitments while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction within approved budgets of $50,000 to $1M+.

  • Managing risk and conflict utilizing cross-functional teams with diverse technical and non-technical skill sets.

  • Fostering customer and vendor relationships, managing on and off shore suppliers, and aiding the selection and integration of technology solutions.

  • Contributing to the improvement of internal processes in order to meet or exceed organizational business and quality objectives.

  • 6+ years project management experience

  • Software development lifecycle (SDLC) project management

  • Ability to build and manage customer and vendor relationships across a large enterprise

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • MS Office Suite including Microsoft Project

  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence decisions from top down and bottom up

  • Exposure to multiple PM methodologies and development lifecycles

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

 Desired
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Business/System Analyst experience

  • Development and Quality Assurance experience

  • Process engineering / implementation

  • Management of projects in UI/application design/information systems environment

  • C-level interface and presentation skills
