Job Description:

The Master Black Belt reports to the Director of the Process Improvement Group and will be an individual contributor assigned to a specific business unit and/or may be responsible for managing Black Belts.
The incumbent will be responsible for: The Implementation of specific projects targeting improving operational and technological processes to achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness in the Operations and Technology groups. Building a portfolio of project improvement opportunities with a clear ROI based approach and focus on efficiency metrics. Working very closely with the MD of a particular business area and other designees at a process owner level to determine the appropriate improvement opportunities and pre-qualify the success criteria and benefits. Establishing the proper controls over the new processes and improvements prior to hand off for implementation and ensuring controls are sustained in partnership with Process Owner. Building a very close relationship with process owner management to understand their business issues, get buy in for improvement opportunities and become their 'trusted consultant' to help them improve their operations and processes. Providing leadership for the continuous improvement of our business processes. Design and manage a portfolio of projects dedicated to a particular part of the business. Use multiple part of Six Sigma skills and methodologies - DMAIC, Lean, Design. Run 3 multi-functional improvement projects at one time. Create metrics and dashboards for the organization assigned to. Conduct Process Improvement workshops for large audiences. Advise management on opportunities for efficiency and process improvements in specific projects with focus on ROI. Drive project completion and make results visible to management. Coach Black Belts in project work as required by Director of Process Improvement Group. Ensure Process Controls are built and sustained with implementation team and process owners. Conduct Change Management workshops within the particular business unit assigned. Encourage and demonstrate the highest ethical standards and uphold core Values of TDA.
Experience and Knowledge: Must be a Certified Master BB in DMAIC/Lean and have demonstrated experience with DFSS (Design). (7-8 years of BB experience). Must have demonstrated track record of improvement projects. Must have superior interpersonal and communication skills. (verbal and written) with all levels of management. Must be able to motivate change at the process owner and below levels in organization. Must have demonstrated presentation skills. Must be passionate and results driven leader. Must have financial services experience (preferable in Brokerage Operations) 3-5 years. Demonstrated Leadership abilities in project teams. Ability to organize, prioritizes, and delegate as needed to ensure success of the goals for a project. Series 7 license a PLUS. 4 year Bachelors degree in business or related field. 5-7 years experience working in a mid- large size firm.
