Job Description:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt/Project Manager
Provide leadership for the continuous improvement of core business processes.
· Advise management on opportunities for efficiency and process improvements in specific projects with focus on measurable benefits.
· Build relationships with process owners/management to understand their issues, get buy in for improvement opportunities, and become their 'trusted consultant' to help them improve their processes.
· Lead and execute several improvement projects at one time.
· Conduct Kaizen events.
· Implement specific projects targeting improving business processes resulting in greater efficiencies and effectiveness in the Services Operations group.
· Participate in project teams as a subject matter expert to assist in improving existing operational efficiencies or to build new requirements to facilitate the end state effectiveness of processes.
· Drive project completion, based on schedule, and make results visible to management.
· Establish the proper controls and ensure controls are sustained.
· Teach the organization on Process Improvement approach and benefits through successful projects.
· Mentor Champions, Process Owners, project team, and Green Belts on methodology
· Work closely with Process Owner management to be part of their team to improve organization.
· Conduct regular analysis regarding the effectiveness of the BB Program and make timely recommendations regarding changes to support the strategy.
Experience: EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
· Certified Six Sigma BB with demonstrated experience with Lean. (3+ years of Black Belt experience.)
· Prefer Financial services or other services related experience required.
· Demonstrated Lean Six Sigma track record with significant portfolio of improvement projects.
· Expert in DMAIC and Lean tool sets.
· Passionate and results driven leader
· Demonstrated leadership abilities in large project teams.
· Superior interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of management.
· Ability to explain and motivate change at the process owner and below levels in organization
· Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate as needed to ensure success of the goals for a project.
· Demonstrated presentation skills for all management levels.
· Bachelors degree in business or related field.
· 5-7 years experience working in a mid-large size firm.
