Job Description:
Plant Continuous Improvement Manager
Position Overview
• Serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership team with a focus on championing continuous improvement efforts
• Analyze plant processes, procedures and performance, using established continuous improvement techniques, to identify and prioritize opportunity
• Mentor and teach continuous improvement tools and techniques (i.e. Six Sigma, Leaning Manufacturing) to plant employees, acting as a resource to floor led improvement teams
• Actively lead continuous improvement teams directed at high impact projects, within the plant
• Actively participate in the development, sharing and application of manufacturing best practices
Position Requirements
• Bachelors degree required, technical degree preferred
• 3+ years experience implementing change using multiple continuous improvement tools (i.e.: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.), manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Expertise at using problem solving tools, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
• Strong computer skills including familiarity with Minitab or other statistical analysis software
• A passion for teaching and mentoring
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence others and lead change
