FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT FANNIE MAE AND OUR CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, VISIT WWW.FANNIEMAE.COM.   THIS POSITION WILL WORK ON FANNIE MAE'S IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MAKING HOME AFFORDABLE INITIATIVE WHICH IS PART OF THE HOUSING AFFORDABILITY AND STABILITY PLAN.  PER U.S. TREASURY GUIDELINES, UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY STATUS ALONG WITH AUTHORIZATION AND COMPLIANCE WITH A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT IS REQUIRED.    DIRECT DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS FOR A UNIT ENGAGED IN EXAMINING FINANCIAL RECORDS AND TRANSACTIONS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL LAWS, CORPORATE STANDARDS, AND GENERALLY ACCEPTED ACCOUNTING PROCEDURES.  COORDINATE STRATEGY EXECUTION.  ARTICULATE GOALS, ALLOCATE RESOURCES, AND MANAGE WORKFLOW.  - COLLABORATE WITH SENIOR MANAGEMENT IN PLANNING AUDITS. 
- OVERSEE AND MANAGE THE OPERATIONAL ASPECTS OF ASSIGNED AUDITS.  REVIEW ONGOING STATUS.  MANAGE SCHEDULES TO ENSURE TIMELY COMPLETION WITHIN BUDGET.
- LEAD DELIVERY OF FINAL AUDIT REPORTS FROM AUDIT TEAMS.  MANAGE FOLLOW UP.
- ESCALATE AUDIT ISSUES TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
- REPORT TO SENIOR MANAGEMENT ON THE UNIT'S PRODUCTION, ACTIVITIES, AND EFFORTS.
- REPRESENT THE UNIT AS AN EXPERT OR RESOURCE TO CROSS FUNCTIONAL PROJECT OR COORDINATING TEAMS.
- PLAN, DOCUMENT, AND MANAGE THE PERFORMANCE OF SUBORDINATE MANAGERS AND/OR STAFF.  PROVIDE FOR PROFESSIONAL OR TECHNICAL GROWTH THROUGH ASSIGNMENT, MENTORING, OR TRAINING.
- PLAN AND MANAGE THE UNIT'S BUDGET. APPROVE EXPENDITURES OR BUDGET TRANSFERS.
- EDUCATION LEVEL REQUIRED: BACHELOR DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT IN ACCOUNTING OR FINANCE.
- EDUCATION LEVEL PREFERRED: MASTER DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT IN ACCOUNTING OR FINANCE.
- CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: CPA.
- MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN INTERNAL CONTROLS, INTERNAL AUDIT, OR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING STRONGLY PREFERRED. 
- EXPERIENCE IN THE FINANCIAL SERVICES, BANKING, LENDING INDUSTRIES, PUBLIC ACCOUNTING OR CONSULTING INDUSTRIES STRONGLY PREFERRED.
- DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO MANAGE PROJECTS AND PEOPLE IN AN AMBIGUOUS ENVIRONMENT.
- DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO DEVELOP AND A QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM.
- STRONG ANALYTICAL AND WRITING SKILLS.  DEMONSTRATED ABILITY TO DRAFT/EDIT DOCUMENTS FOR REVIEW AT THE EXECUTIVE AND BOARD LEVEL.
- STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF US ACCOUNTING AND INTERNAL AUDIT PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE STANDARDS.
EMPLOYMENT
AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT WITH FANNIE MAE, ANY SUCCESSFUL JOB APPLICANT WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN AND TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE A BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION, WHICH MAY ALSO INCLUDE A CREDIT CHECK FOR POSITIONS IN SOME AREAS OF OUR BUSINESS.
