Job Description:
Project Manager: Quality Process Improvement Department
The Project Manager will use a variety of project management tools to help create and maintain project plans for all company initiatives. The Project Manager will make sure that all project members and sponsors work together, stay focused, stay on track, complete on time and work within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create and maintains a project plan encompassing all formalized organizational initiatives and projects. 2. Schedule regular meetings to regularly track progress and discuss project plans. 3. Track resources, dependencies and milestones for all projects and report progress to project sponsors, leads and members. 4. Work with department heads to make sure the appropriate resources are in place and accounted for in each project and initiative. Set timelines and ensure agreement upon timelines. Check for understanding of priorities and dependencies. 5.Manage individual projects as needed and motivate individuals and team to meet deadlines.
JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Project Management certification preferred. A Green Belt or Black Belt Certification also desirable.
EXPERIENCE: Five + years of experience in a similar role, with leadership experience a must. Working experience with Microsoft Project is required.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to adapt to change and effectively communicate change. Demonstrated leadership ability and ability to direct multiple initiatives. Builds trust. Strong organization and documentation skills along with a results oriented approach and ability to project plans.
