Question/Answer Sets

Q   How do I sign up for an iSixSigma Job Shop account?
A   You can sign for an iSixSigma Job Shop account by clicking here. It's completely free and all your information is protected, so sign up today!

Q   How do I use my iSixSigma Job Shop account?
A   After signing up for an iSixSigma Job Shop account, you will receive a confirmation email containing a special URL used to activate your account. Once your account has been activated, you can sign in and create your resume, save jobs in your saved jobs folder, apply to interesting jobs that are posted, compare your salary to those in your industry or location, and create personal email agents that notify you when jobs of interested are posted on iSixSigma.

Q   Can my current employer view my resume in your database?
A   If your current employer is signed up for the iSixSigma Job Shop as an Employer (i.e., they are posting jobs), then they may have purchased access to the iSixSigma Job Shop resume database. If you want to prevent employers from viewing your resume, you can check the checkbox labeled "EXCLUDE my resume from Company searches" but still allow recruiters to view your resume. If you are concerned about recruiting agencies providing your resume to your employer, just put a note in your resume section to the effect "Please do not share this resume with employers without my express written permission."

Q   How can I change my email address that is associated with my Job Shop account?
A   To change your email address, you can simply sign into your account, edit your resume, and change your email address to your new one. A confirmation email will then be sent to your new email address and you must reactivate your account (although all data will be saved).

Q   I can't sign into my account and I never received an email with a URL to activate my account. What do I do?
A   You must activate your account before you are allowed to sign into it. To activate your account, please wait for a confirmation email from the Job Shop with a URL that you must click on in order to activate the account. If you don't receive a confirmation email within an hour of signing up, please check your spam folders (if applicable) for any indication that it was filtered inappropriately. If you cannot locate this email you may request another email -- an activation URL will be included -- at the forgot password page: http://jobs.isixsigma.com/findpassword.asp. Emails are sent immediately and should not take more than 1 minute to reach your mailbox under normal conditions.

If you have activated your account and have verified that you are using the correct email address and password, the only other reason you would not be able to sign into your account is if your computer is not accepting cookies to be stored.
