Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, training, communications, or relevant field
Degree or certificates in several continuous improvement disciplines (e.g., Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S, visual workspace, etc.)
Minimum of five (5) years of continuous improvement experience
Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred and/or willingness to pursue
Proficient PC skills to access and maintain information and communicate electronically
Excellent understanding of principles of statistical process control
Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO 9001
Excellent organizational skills
Proven leadership skills with the ability to foster a positive team atmosphere
Aptitude and desire to gain understanding of situations, processes, and procedures in an effort to improve upon them
First-rate interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications and conflict management resolution
Capacity to work independently and within a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Highly self-motivated and directed, ability to work well under pressure, manage and prioritize multiple disciplines concurrently, attend to details, and meet deadlines
Flexible, adaptable, and able to interact with employees at all levels of the organization;ability to change priorities and direction with minimal notice
Ability to make sound, critical decisions with minimal consultation or input from others
Progressive drive to promote and sustain a continuous improvement culture
Proficient in reading, writing, and mathematics
