Director of Operational Excellence

Job Summary:

The Operational Excellence Manager will be responsible for leading the Operational Excellence team for Argen and will have the responsibility to manage the strategic design and implementation through a team of Operational Excellence professionals. The team will develop and conduct work process designs, cost estimates, Continuous Improvement Activities, Change Management, New Product Introductions, and Business Analytics across multiple areas of the company. This group is considered a shared service to the company.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, coordinate and drive the Operational Excellence deployment plan in Manufacturing and Business Process
  • Directly support the Operational Excellence needs of the Chief Operating Officer
  • Coach, develop and mentor a team which includes management of QA/QC, Regulatory Affairs, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Document Control, to ensure their continued development in areas such as Six Sigma and LEAN in addition to meeting Business goals and objectives
  • Assist Senior Leadership and Champions in selecting projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies
  • Work with Leadership in installing organizational supports for Operational Excellence (reviews, communications, rewards, software, etc.)
  • Drive high-level industrial engineering activities through team
  • Lead the development, implementation and overall management of a formal cost reduction process that incorporates Six Sigma, Lean and Industrial Engineering tools
