Requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. At a minimum, a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Engineering, Business or a technical/scientific subject is required. Candidate must possess at least 2 years of professional level experience in leading improvement teams. Candidates must have a certification in LSS. Must also have thorough Knowledge of LEAN/ Six Sigma methodology and strong Excel, Minitab, Dashboard tools and PowerPoint skills.

Job Description
Position supports a Defense Agency responsible for resource management and programming. Individual should have a thorough knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma Process & Methodology in the area of service projects, and will lead LSS projects accordingly. The Black Belt will provide project leadership which will include identifying project opportunities, launching project teams, managing team activities, leading teams to execute projects with problem solving methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and eliminating barriers, and developing team members. Black Belt must also be comfortable standing up in front of an audience and presenting material in a variety of settings using a variety of multi-media. Candidates must be able to recognize and reconcile personnel conflicts that may surface during training and team meetings. Candidate must also act as a coach/ mentor for Green Belts, preparing new candidates for GB training and assisting where needed in the GB's project.
