Gracenote is presently looking for a Black Belt, Global Content Process and Planning to meet skyrocketing demand for its metadata products and services. The Black Belt, Global Content Process and Planning will play a critical role in optimizing the human curation efforts inside the Global Content organization.  Responsible for implementing best practices across music, video and sports globally, this a senior position requiring excellent organizational, analytical, leadership, and influencing skills. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: .

  • Define and implement best practices to advance the transformation of Global Content Operations from content sourcing through editorial and delivery
  • Improve all aspects of Content Operations Planning including production throughput, resource capacity, and additional integration-specific opportunties
  • Develop and deploy standards for content creation, distribution, retrieval, leverage, and maintenance
  • Implement strategies for increased content acquisition and improved analytics to reliably meet product and Customer requirements
  • Develop and institutionalize a full suite of KPIs to drive excellence across Global Content
  • Work with the heads of each data stage and Business Analysis to define and implement tools and workflows that enable a “digital factory” across our global footprint

FOR THIS ROLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE:

  • Proven experience managing output-focused operations, production measurement and optimization, and managing multiple priorities & deadlines
  • Experience with strategic deployment, project planning, resource allocation, and financial modeling
  • Significant experience as a senior stakeholder overseeing large, complex digital projects involving pipeline management and content delivery
  • Proven and documented leadership skills: excellent communicator, decisive, results-driven, people-oriented person with good networking skills along with the ability to motivate employees and resolve time-critical issues
  • Understanding of relational data architecture and structures, relational databases, and controlled vocabularies
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing, motivating and coordinating improvement agendas in global environments

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • BA or BS, College or University required
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

PLUSES:

  • Experience building content development work models and production metrics
  • Experience with entertainment content development operations (Music, Video, and Sports) and content management applications and workflow
  • Practical lean/agile methodologies (lean startup, SCRUM training, etc)
