 THE OPPORTUNITY –  As Division Head of Strategy and Communication, this Officer directs, leads and assigns resources to the work activities associated with organizational and performance improvement (OPI) to help the District better meet its Mission, Vision and Values of its strategic direction. Works under the general direction of the Director of Strategy and Innovation.  Leads, directs and coordinates implementation of activities related to the 2016 Strategic Plan, in partnership with Goal teams, leadership and the Board of Directors.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Five years of progressive experience that demonstrate the ability to (a) work collaboratively across an organization’s departmental structure, (b) build relationships, organize and lead people, (c) map and communicate existing and re-invented organizational and/or business processes, (d) be improvement-driven, and (e) be results oriented. Proven ability to lead a team to success in taking an initially abstract goal and breaking it into tangible, specific and executable terms.

Plus two out of three of the following additional qualifying experiences: (i) Certification and proven experience with performance and quality improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Denver Peak Academy. (ii) Demonstrated strong project planning and management skills, (iii) Experience in communications, and public relations.

Desired Qualifications

Experience gained while working in a highly technical and/or industrial setting. Certification as a Strategic Planning Profession or a Strategic Management Professional
