Primary job Functions:
Individual will be working in a recently established operational excellence workstream of Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain, and responsible for mapping business processes for key planning and control areas of supply chain (i.e. MRP, planning, scheduling, S&OP, supply chain KPIs, etc). Working with key stakeholders to map out “as is” state and creating “future state”. Individual will be a divisional resource and provide guidance and leadership for Abbott Nutrition (AN) supply chain business processes worldwide, a cross 14 manufacturing plants.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
Responsible for Abbott Nutrition supply chain business process creation, optimization and standardization across the division, predominantly in the MRP area. Assist in the development and implementation of core business planning processes for supply planning, inventory management, replenishment planning, scheduling and S&OP planning and leading in the development and implementation of core MRP business processes. Responsible for benchmarking industry and other Abbott divisions regularly to provide paths to process simplification and CIP opportunities. Manage the coordination and integration of software systems and tools to facilitate divisional reporting and planning activates.Â This includes identification, development and implementation of systems and tool selection and deployment working with IT, quality and operations on a global platform. Manage, maintain and develop positive relationships with Abbott Nutrition site supply chain personnel, division leaders,
operations, quality and finance to positively influence decision making and improve performance. Be proactive and direct in communication opportunities, issues and critical matters, ensuring that management and senior staff are current on all critical matters, with a focus on resolution alternatives, recommendations and implementation planning, costs and benefits.

Candidate will Interfaces with a variety of management levels on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units. The individual will participate in the development of others by facilitating training and providing feedback and guidance. May lead a project team and provides technical leadership to business units. Candidate will act as a mentor to less-experienced staff and exercises judgment independently.Â (Planning/Organization) Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Initiates or maintains schedule for projects and project milestones and establishes priorities of individual or project assignments. (Decision Making/Impact) Candidate will select methods and techniques to lead a project to completion. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically
results in failure to achieve organizational objectives.
Bachelor’s degree plus 9+ years of related work experiences with a complete understanding of functional areas or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Advanced degree preferred. APICS certification, CPIM, or CSCP, is highly desirable.
Minimum Experience/Training Required:
(Technical/Business Knowledge (Job Skills)) A MRP process optimization manager at heart, thoroughly proficient and with significant proven experience in implementing MRP improvement initiatives and leveraging MRP systems to drive end- to-end supply chain optimization. As a minimum, three years’ experience with (i) the direct supervision of teams managing internal MRP planning of external suppliers for purchased and subcontracted items, (ii) the delivery of solutions that have addressed systematic MRP excellence levels. Proven experience in leading or being a team member in the development and implementation of companywide MRP policies is a highly desirable assert to be successful in this position. Extensive experience in production planning at a factory floor/manufacturing plant level is a plus. Experience having led a manufacturing plant through CLASS A certification is a plus.
